With summer coming to an end and fall approaching quickly I wanted to share my favorite detox hack. I know it sounds too obvious to be true, but it totally works, trust me!

 

Here it is: hot water and lemon.

 

Sometimes for an extra kick I add some ginger slices. After drinking my morning coffee I boil some water and then add it to a fresh mug, then I chop up some lemon slices. Instantly I feel like my body is rejuvenated and refreshed! Throughout the day I never feel bloated or have any stomach problems! I love watching morning routine videos on YouTube and I saw sooo many people drinking hot lemon water, which I wanted to try for myself.

How Tarot Cards Changed My Daily Routine

 

Daily Draw

 
Daily draw readings are my favorite type of spread. Depending on the question you want answers to, there are a number of different types of spreads that specialize with each type of question. Here’s my version of a daily spread that I find very fun and inspiring if nothing more!
 

Shuffle your deck thinking about love and positivity! Place your deck somewhere in your room like a nightstand or dresser, preferably where no one will mess with it! Find one of your favorite items like a necklace, ring, coin, etc. Make sure your the only one to have worn that item or owned that item, and make sure it’s something you love (I use a moon necklace). Place that item on top of the deck to absorb positive energy in between readings. Every morning before you leave the house draw the first card and that will guide your day! Keep placing the old cards underneath the deck and draw a new card everyday!

 

I ended up really liking how these daily readings would start my day with an interesting twist. Even the negative cards reminded me of something, for example not to trust perfect strangers or make sure to not be prideful. My sister’s favorite deck is called the Shaman Tarot Deck. If you’re looking for something a little more colorful and special, this deck is really beautifully designed!

 

If you’re a beginner, or are lazy like I am, the Quick & Easy Tarot Deck would be the best fit for you! I use this deck personally, and love that the meanings of each card no matter forwards or reversed are printed right on the cards! Using this type of deck would be ideal for your daily draw because you won’t need to look up the meanings of each card as a beginner!

Reflect on last summer

  • Think about how much you’ve accomplished since the last summer. How much has changed for the better, or worse?

Surround yourself with positive people

  • The influence of others around you will dictate how your summer will turn out. Positive influences are needed to recharge this summer.

Create a list of activities you want to accomplish this summer

  • Rather than a to-do list, create a list of events you’re looking forward too. If you happen to not have anything on that list, make some plans and create fun events! You can mold your summer into whatever you want it to be!

Maintain positive habits that will stay with you for the next year

  • Start positive habits now, in order to keep them for the next year! I’m trying to start drinking more water daily, and do yoga twice a week!

 

I’m really excited to relax this summer and prepare for the next year. Taking on a challenging course load for my senior year of college means I need to keep calm this summer and prepare for what’s ahead!
