What’s in my travel skincare bag?

What’s in my travel skincare bag?

Traveling has brought me so many amazing experiences, and I’ve been so blessed to experience different cultures with my family. However, packing has always been my pet peeve and I’m still getting the hang of it! Packing clothes will never be my strength, but when it comes to packing skincare and makeup I’ve finally perfected my system! Take a peek into my travel skincare bag and let me know in the comments section if you’d like to see my travel makeup!

I’m currently in Saint Kitt’s and Nevis in the Caribbean and I’m off to New Orleans next! Sign up to the newsletter to keep updated on my travels to the Voodoo capital of the USA.

Travel Skincare

The Pacifica Cactus Water Face wipes have easily been my number one must have for traveling. I use the Pacifica Cactus Micellar Water when I’m not traveling, so it’s nice to have the same product in easy travel wipes. They smell amazing and there’s no need to rinse the excess off, which makes my vacation even more lazy!

Another product I have by Pacifica is the Cactus Revive Milk to Foam Face Wash. ((HACK: Go to the dollar tree and get a pack of travel sized fillable bottles and fill up your face wash, lotion, etc .)) I’m still testing this product but as of now it has a really good smell, I love the natural ingredients, but it leaves my face a little tight which I’m not a huge fan of. For humid weather the cactus face wash has been amazing at getting all the excess sweat and grime off my face, but in dry weather it might be a little too drying on the skin without moisture in the air.

Caudalie has an iconic Beauty Elixir that I’m a huge fan of! Every morning after I wash my face I spray this on and feel instantly refreshed! I love how it comes in a travel size as well, which makes it super easy to pack.

I mentioned the Glossier Priming Moisturizer in another post, and I’m still a huge fan. The packaging makes it easy to pack and the texture is super lightweight for humid weather.

Promise Organic’s Nourishing Coconut Milk Facial Lotion is an amazing drugstore moisturizer. When my skin is feeling more dry I use this instead of the Glossier moisturizer. I also tend to use this product at night to help my skin recover.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is another good product to aid in overnight recovery. I have a full sized bottle at home, but Kiehl’s is very generous with samples so make sure to go into your closest store and get samples of almost anything before traveling! Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 is another product I use at night to help rejuvenate my lips and lock the moisture in for the next day.

Drunk Elephant is a brand I’ve been testing and I’m very pleased so far! The T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum is so necessary for my skin type! I’m combination, so I like to use Glycolic acid to really help target my oily zones and prevent blackheads and acne. The Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil is a really good moisturizer and I basically use it like a serum! When I’m not using makeup that day, I apply a pump or two to my entire face before moisturizer. I love the glow it gives my skin, and I’ve noticed my skin isn’t as red and irritated by the end of the day. These products both came in travel sizes at Sephora which is amazing!

Using a face mask on vacation is really luxurious and spa vibes for me. I packed a travel size of the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask which I rally have been loving for summer! After washing my face in the morning I’ll let this mask chill on my face while I drink my coffee and lounge around in the hotel room.

Not included in the picture, because I’m an unorganized rat sometimes, is the Pacifica Suncare Coconut Probiotic Mineral Sunscreen Face Stick SPF 50. I use this everyday and love how it smells like oatmeal! It’s really great for swimming or any other vacation activity because it’s waterproof. The stick formula is nice because it’s really easy to bring with you in your backpack or purse while exploring a new city.
